Bank Transaction Hours for Ramadan – Bangladesh Bank has set new transaction hours for banks during the holy month of Ramadan.

The banks’ transaction hours have been set from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and banking office hours from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM during Ramadan, from Sunday to Thursday. Friday and Saturday will be weekly holidays for banks.

The central bank’s Department of Offsite Supervision issued a circular in this regard on Monday.

The circular stated that all scheduled banks operating in the country will be open from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM during the holy month of Ramadan. There will be a break for Zohar prayer from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM.

However, bank transactions can continue during this break through internal coordination.

Normally, bank transactions are conducted from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and bank office hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The central bank adjusts the office and transaction schedule for the month of Ramadan.

The circular stated that the schedule will revert to its original timing after the holy month of Ramadan.
