Advanced Certificate in Business Administration (ACBA)- The world is facing disruptive changes more than ever in recent times. Because of the ongoing global pandemic due to COVID 19, the organizations have no option but to think about alternate short term, medium term and long term strategies for their survival and growth. To cater the need of changing business environment, Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka is offering a regular certificate program: Advanced Certificate in Business Administration (ACBA).
The program is particularly suited for business executives and managers who wish to update their knowledge base and keep themselves updated with the best practices in management. The ACBA program consists of four modules, which are:
Module 1: Marketing in a Changing Environment
Module 2: Accounting and Finance for Managerial Decisions
Module 3: Managing HR for Excellence
Module 4: Strategic Planning and Leadership

Program Schedule
Each module will be taught over five weeks and total 20 effective weeks will be required to complete the entire program. Classes of Batch-18 will start from January 20, 2021. During the ongoing pandemic situation, classes will be held using online platform in the evening (weekly 4 evenings including Fridays & Saturdays). However, if and once the situation permits, classes will be held in IBA campus during weekends i.e. Fridays and Saturdays only.
Eligibility Criteria
Prospective candidates must fulfill the following criteria for admission:
– Bachelor’s degree (with a minimum 2nd class or CGPA 2.00 out of 4.00) in any discipline; and,
– At least 5 (five) years of work experience with reputed organization(s).
Admission Procedure
Candidates fulfilling the above requirements should apply using the prescribed ‘Application Form’ available at www.iba-du.edu. Application can be made till Thursday, December 31, 2020. Only shortlisted candidates will be appearing before an online interview board for selection.

Key Resource Persons
The resource persons for the program comprise faculty members from IBA, University of Dhaka and other reputed business schools of home & abroad. Leading practitioners from relevant industry will also conduct sessions.
Certification
On successful completion of each module, participants will be awarded a certificate for the module. Participants completing all four modules will be awarded an Advanced Certificate in Business Administration (ACBA).
